Charlotte M. Vochatzer, 91, Independence, MO, passed away March 18, 2001, at Rosewood Health Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Sheil Colonial Funeral Chapel, 11924 E. 47th Street, Kansas City, MO; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery, Gregory and Blue Ridge Cutoff. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 1625 W. 92nd Street, Kansas City, MO 64114, or to Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 W. R.D. Mize Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64014.

Mrs. Vochatzer was born March 17, 1910, in Muncie, KS, and lived most of her married life in Northeast Kansas City. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, and will be lovingly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis John Vochatzer; daughter, Mary Catherine Swisher; and son, Carl Gene Vochatzer. Survivors include sons, William John, Charles Dean, Donald Eugene, Robert Allen, Richard Lewis, James Verl, Jerry David, Lee Franklin, and Harry Paul; daughters, Margaurite Louise Kaup and Karen Ruth Vochatzer; 34 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
