Bernice Margaret Anderson, 95, passed away on November 9, 2014. She was born on January 23, 1919, in Stambaugh, Mich., to James and Hilda (Backlund) Hosking. Bernice was raised in Stambaugh and was a 1937 graduate of Stambaugh High School.
On September 9, 1939, Bernice married Richard Anderson in Iron Mountain, Mich.
Bernice is survived by three daughters: Carol (Dennis) Kempka, Marinette, WI; Beth (James) Tomich, Menominee, MI; Sally (Kenneth) Matusek, Madison, WI;
one daughter-in-law, Josie Anderson, Chicago, IL;
three grandchildren: Cindy (Brian) Vien, Michael (Kristie) Anderson, Megan Matusek-Lamp (Joshua Lamp);
three great-grandsons: Dylan Anderson (Rachel Cramer), Derek and Hayden Anderson;
one great-great-granddaughter, Elaina Rose Anderson;
and one sister-in-law, Georgia Hosking.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Richard; one son Arthur; one infant daughter Ruth Jane;
and two brothers: James (Antoinette) Hosking and William Hosking.
Funeral services will be held at Peace United Church of Christ, 933 Elizabeth Ave., Marinette, Wis. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette.
