He was born in Beverly but had made his home in this town for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Liberty Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Beverly. Besides his wife, Caroline E. Foster, he leaves two daughters, Miss Marion and Miss Marjorie Foster, both of Marblehead and two sisters, Miss Ellen Foster of North Beverly and Mrs. Alice Baker of Fairhaven.
Funeral services were held from his home, 39 Jersey street, Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. Edward H. Cotton, pastor of the Unitarian Church officiating. Only immediate members of the family attended the services which were private. Burial was in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem.
