WESTERMAN Curtis F. Westerman, age 75, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Curt, born June 13, 1930, graduated June, 1948 from West High School, was a member of that championship football team and attended Ohio University. He was retired from Port Columbus International Airport after a long career. Curt was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was a F.A.A.M., Capitol City and Aladdin Shrine, member of York Golf Club, life member of West High Alumni Association and an avid Buckeye fan. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Margaret Westerman, brother Lt. George "Leslie" Westerman, sister-in-law Florence Westerman. Survived by his devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Rita; sons, George (Ann Chapman) of Willoughby Hills, Oh., Joe (Julie) of Gahanna; grandchildren, Blaire and Max Westerman; brother-in-law, John (Mary) Ambrosia; sister-in-law, Dorothy Murname; aunt and uncle, Josephine and Michael Izzie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks for the care by the doctors, nurses and staff at Riverside Hospital. Friends may call Thursday 3-8 p.m. at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 4476 N. High St., (two block north of Henderson Rd.), 268-8811, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 N. High St. Fr. Richard Pendolphi, Celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Curt's family requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1373 Grandview Ave., Columbus, Oh. 43212, or the charity of your choice.
