Annie C Argabrite was born near Asbury, Greenbrier County WV, April 23, 1852, and departed this life at her home June 25, 1922. She was married to James Madison Argabrite Nov 14, 1867. To this union were born five children - Dr Otho Argabrite, of Alderson; Misses Io and Mary C, at home, and John and R B who preceded their mother to the great beyond. She leaves a husband, three children, two brothers - Rev Jno A Anderson and S W Anderson - one sister, Miss Lula B Anderson, and one granddaughter Miss Mary Catherine Argabrite, besides host of other relatives and friends. She professed saving faith in Christ when a child and was received into the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, at Asbury, in 1864, by Rev J H Waugh and ever lived an exemplary Christian life. Her funeral services were conducted in the home by her pastor, Rev J B Grimes, assisted by Rev R Neel, of Alderson, after which the body was gently borne by some of the nephews and friends of the deceased to the beautiful family cemetery near the home.
