WILLIAM A. EGAN, 49, of Pennsauken, died Wednesday at home, after a long illness.
Mr. Egan served in the Marines from 1962 to 1968. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Merchantville, and was first president of parish council at the church. He also was a coach for the church's track, football and basketball teams. Mr. Egan was a member of the Holy Name Society and a member of the South Jersey Running Club. He was an installer for John A. Wenstrom & Son Carpets in Maple Shade. Mr. Egan was born in Plainfield and lived in Pennsauken since 1969. He was the father of the late Daniel Egan.
Survivors: wife, Irene; three sons, Tony, Michael, and Patrick all of Pennsauken, and several nieces and nephews.
Services: viewing, 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Inglesby & Sons Funeral Homes, 2426 Cove and Wyndam Roads, Pennsauken; Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Peter's Church, Maple Ave., Merchantville; burial, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
