Jacob and Magaret were busy people. He, like his father William who is known as the "Great Hunter" was a hunter. They had ten children who grew to maturity and lived ages from 31 to 91. 6 over 70, 4 over 80, 2 over 90 years. Born at Greenville, Green Co, Tenn. Dec 23, 1787, married Margaret Carper June 26, 1808, they moved to Munroe Co. Indiana in 1821 and in fall of 1823 moved to Vermillion Co, Ill; and in spring of 1839 to Milwaukee Co, Wisconsin. Settled on a large farm, had a good home, was well liked, sent to legislature for two terms in Wis. In 1868 he came to Grandfather (Claborn) Brazeltons, and lived awhile but died at Uncle Reed Brazeltons, some of whose descendants are here.
