JOHN J. GARLICK – Brother of Councilman James H. Garlick, Mr. Garlick, 77, of 3848 Crane, died of a heart attack Wednesday. Born in St. Williams, Ont., Mr. Garlick came to Detroit at 16. Before retiring six years ago, hew worked for his brother in his jewelry store for 38 years as credit manager.

Surviving, in addition to his brother, are his wife, Nancy, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Howell, of St. Williams.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Walter Dehn Funeral Home, 8811 E. Forest, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Roseland Park Cemetery.
