Joe L. Staab, 59, 427 East 8th St., died Wednesday at St. John's Hospital, Salina.
A lifetime Hays resident, he was a superintendent for Producers Gas F... He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Eagles. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Military Academy.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; a son, Joseph R., Chicago, Ill.; one grandson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond H. Staab, Hays; two sisters, Miss Euphrosine Staab, Hays, Mrs. John Lang, Golden, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a son, William in 1950.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church. Fr. Gilbert, O.F.M. Cap. was celebrant and was assisted by Fr. Richard, O.F.M. Cap., and Fr. Collin, O.F.M. Cap. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lewis Eaton, Everett Eaton, Harold D. Davis, Walter Staab, Leo Gross and William J. Ubert.
