Adam Raymond Arvidson, 48, of Waimea, Hawaii, passed away, November 2, 2014.

Adam was born in Pullman, Washington, August 14, 1966, to Jim and the late Phyllis Arvidson. Adam graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1985. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Washington State University and a Masters in Teaching from Heritage University.

Adam was a middle school math teacher and sports official in Hawaii for the last year and a half. Prior to his time on Kaua’i he was a teacher in Alaska. Adam officiated wrestling, football, volleyball, softball, and baseball. He was selected as a state tournament official in Alaska and Washington. He especially enjoyed working with young athletes. As a high school athlete Adam excelled in football and wrestling, representing Washington State on a cultural exchange wrestling team to China. He was also a skilled equestrian; earning a national points title in gaming. Adam loved to play games: computer, cards, dice, board, you name it, he was a master competitor! His joyful laugh and love of life will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis; his sister, Jayme; his sister, Anne Marie; and all of his grandparents.
