∼Helen Abeling, 84, of Torrington passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Hartford Hospital.
She was the wife of Raymond W. Abeling. Helen was born in Bridgeport, on September 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Grusauskas) Bullwitt.
She was a graduate of Saint Mary's School of Nursing and worked as a LPN at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for over 20 years.
In addition to her husband, she leaves daughters Kathryn Abeling of Torrington and Cynthia Safko of Gram, Washington, and a son Raymond L. Abeling of Torrington, and seven grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Agnes Hull of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by son William and daughter Candace.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Saint Francis Church, Torrington, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 6.
