Memorial services for Agusta Lewella Genn, 62, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Griffin Funeral Home chapel with Steve Kahbeah and Thomas Wyatt officiating.
Born on June 12, 1942, in Ardmore to August Lafontaine and Phoebe Stribling Lacher, she died on May 3, 2005, at the local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Brandon Carney; several sisters and brothers.

She was a licensed practical nurse for 21 years working in California, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Agusta liked to crochet. She and John Richard Genn were married on June 30, 1973, in Gainesville, Texas. Survivors include her husband, of the home; children, Martin Carney, Georgia, Glen Carney, Johnny Carney and Nick Carney, all of Texas, Terri Freeman, Okmulgee, Dennis Carney, California, and Keith Carney, Utah; a brother, Nephi Lafontaine; sisters, Ruth Gibson, Madill, and Pauline Hawkins, Oklahoma City; several grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Honorary bearers are Eugene, Dakota, Eugene Jr., Joseph and Robert Kahbeah, Robert and Ricky Gibson, Thomas Stribling, Nick Bark and Richard Carney.
