He came to Bloomington with his parents when he was 8 years old. He was a machinist at the Alton Railroad Shops for 20 years prior to his death.
He married Myrtle A. Davis in 1895.
Surviving at his death were his wife, a son Jackson W. Gee and a daughter Mrs. Leslie Chambers.
