ELLINWOOD — Robert Leo Dannebohm, 79, died at his home among friends and family on November 2. Born in rural Ellinwood on July 5, 1935, he was the son of Stanley and Irene (Parker) Dannebohm.
He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1953 and married Romona Witt in Hudson on Feb 14, 1959. She died September 14, 2004. He later married Dianne Lavake in Paris, Texas on July 10, 2005. She survives of the home.
Robert was a Veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War. His memberships include the American Legion, First Baptist Church, and the VFW. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include wife, Dianne Dannebohm of the home; daughters, Gail (Mark) Bergling, Atwood, Nancee (Jeff) Meyer, Stafford; brothers, Larry (Jamee) Dannebohm, Ellinwood, Donnie Dannebohm, Ellinwood; sister, Marilyn (Bob) Meyer, Garden City. Other survivors include grandchildren, Jill Bergling, Blake Bergling, Erica Meyer, and Jake (Kylie) Meyer. He is preceded in death by his parents; previous wife, Romona (Witt) Dannebohm; brother, Gary Dannebohm; grandson, Ryan Bergling.
A funeral service is planned for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, at the First Baptist Church South of Ellinwood with Pastor George Redington presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
