Paul Charles Cilia, Jr.
age 85, of Belleville, MI, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. He was born February 2, 1929 in Detroit, MI, son of Paul Carmel & Florence Theresa (Tomczak) Cilia.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville. Paul retired as a manager from Ford Motor Company's Dearborn/Rotunda facility after many years of loyal service. He was an avid Ham Radio operator, his handle was K8TKK.
Mr. Cilia is survived by six children: Gregory Allen (Sharon) Cilia of Burke, Virginia, Curtis Edward Cilia of Canton, MI, Cheryl Ann (Herman) Kozub of Northville, MI, Susan (Roger) Cilia-Smith of Norton Shores, MI, Lu Ellen (Rick) Luch of Georgetown, Kentucky and Cathy Jo (Dave) Thomas Kernersville, North Carolina, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and two on-the-way. He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife Marie Theresa (Reiner) Cilia on May 5, 1991.
Visitation will be 1-8 PM Thursday with a 7:00 PM Rosary at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville with an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Father Thomas H. Cusick will serve as Celebrant. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
