Ida Jean Gosser, 82, a life long Rushville resident, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Rushville.

Jean was born in Rushville on August 20, 1932 to the late Jesse C. and Myrtle (Buchanan) Bailey. She was a 1950 graduate of Rushville High School.

Jean married Reno J. Gosser on March 21, 1954 and he survives.

Jean worked as a Nurses Aide at Jackson Nursing Home and Miller’s Merry Manor for 35 years and had worked many years at the Rush County Health Department. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church and the BPW.

In addition to her husband, Reno Gosser of Rushville, Jean leaves behind 3 sons, Douglas J. Gosser and wife Kathy of Noblesville, IN, Thomas Linn Gosser and wife Teresa of Markelville, IN and Richard Todd Gosser and wife Christy of Rushville, IN, 2 daughters, Donna and husband John Wall and Diana Lynne Gosser all of Rushville, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William T. Bailey.

Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. John Wall will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 4-8 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the mortuary.

Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, the American Lung Association or Premiere Hospice of Indiana.
