He appears to be the Michael Hinkle in the 1810 census of the adjoining Pulsaki County. Michael and his wife born between 1784 and 1792; with a daughter 1800 to 1810;and three sons born between 1805 and 1810;
After his death the widow, Nancy Haggins Hinkle, married a neighbor, Jacob Brumley and returned to North Carolina leaving several older children in Kentucky.
