She graduated from Business College. She worked as a nurse's aid at both the Dee Hospital and St. Benedicts Hospital. She then went on to work for American Linen for a few years. While her children were in school, she worked in the lunch program for the Ogden City District. Later she went to work for Boyles Furniture. After retiring, Ruth volunteered at the Union Station where she gave more than 2500 hours of service.
Ruth was an avid shopper. She loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful mom.
Ruth is survived by daughter, Shanna Livingston, Palm Desert, California; son, Charles "Chuck" (Judee), Island Park, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Robert, Ann, Shelly, Jim, Tiffany, Chris, and Rayne; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Orvil; sisters, Lorna and Jetta.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
