Lee Riddle, 72, of Scott Depot passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, at home. He was founder of Riddle Masonry Company and owned and operated Teays Valley Mini Storage, Riddle Mobile Home Park and Lee Riddle Apartments. He was a member of Abney Street Church of God, St. Albans, and was an avid fisherman and a member of the Huskie Muskie Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bertha Lively Riddle; daughter, Sharon Joyce Oberle; parents, Samuel and Villa Riddle; brother, Harold Riddle; and sister, Dorothy Smith. Surviving: daughters and a son-in-law, Janet and Jerry Brightwell of St. Albans and Jackie Thomas and her companion, John Jones of Hurricane; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Lee and Margie Riddle of Hurricane; sisters, Ruth Maynard of Portage, Ind., and Nina Crowder of South Charleston; grandchildren, James L. McCormick II, Janet Leigh Vannatter and Johnathon Oberle, all of whom he raised, Justin Lee Riddle, Jacinda Anne Thomas, Shelly Denise Riddle and Brian Lee Riddle; seven great-grandchildren.
