Florence B. Barnum, 92, of Raton, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Raton.
She was born on March 16, 1914, to Blas and Porfiria Chavez of Bernal.
Mrs. Barnum is survived by her daughters Alice Solano and the late Fermin of Grants, Royce Ceal and Chuck of Grants, Gloria Tafoya and Ernest of Raton, Elaine Gonzales and Nick of Raton and Bonnie Lucero and Clarence of Grants; her son Albert Branum Jr. and Eleanor of Aztec; her sister Elsie Baca of Albuquerque; special cousins Joe and Frances of Raton; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Blas and Porfiria Chavez; her husband Albert J. Barnum Sr.; her daughter Margaret; four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will take place today, Tuesday, March 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton. One funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton and a second service will be held at Grants Mortuary Chapel in Grants at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Burial will be in the Grants Memorial Park in Grants.
Arrangements are under the direction of Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton and Grants Mortuary in Grants.
