WILLIAMSON-HAMILTON - The marriage of Elmer Williamson, formerly of this city, and Miss Sybil [sic] Marie Hamilton of Peoria, will be solemnized at the First Methodist church in Peoria this morning, according to a letter received by Mr. Williamson's sister, Mrs. Leonard Weisen, 120 1/2 East Washington street.

Elmer "Pop" Williamson, 84, of 204 E. Carpenter St. died at 10:15 p.m. Monday at Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Springfield, Mr. Williamson was the son of Frank and Hattie Williamson.

He was married to Sibyl Marie Hamilton July 23, 1922 in Peoria.

Mr. Williamson was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and for 44 years he was employed at the Hubbard Milling Co., retiring in 1972.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Sibyl Marie; two sons, Elmer Russell of Branson, Mo. and Robert Williamson of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanore Marie Mitts of Cudahy, Calif.; one half-sister, Mrs. Crusto Belle Wersen of Springfield; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alfred Council officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
