Harold Eugene Curran Sr, 66, of the Camden Health Center, Harrisonville, died January 25, 1992, at Cass Medical Center. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and moved to Harrisonville in 1984. Mr Curran was a newspaper carrier with the Kansas City Star Co from 1948 to 1968. He then was an electrical worker for the Board of Public Utilities, Kansas City, Kansas, for ten years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Local 53 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Wyandotte Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Harold E Curran Jr, Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter, Vinita K Canright, Edgerton in Johnson County; two brothers, Robert Curran, Tonganoxie, Kansas, and B Dale Curran, Kansas City, Kansas; a stepbrother, H Jimmy Kratzer, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Roberta Billings, Kansas City, Kansas, and Carol Rupp, Parma Heights, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 am Wednesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 pm today at the Bruce Chapel, Gardner in Johnson County. The family suggests contributions to the American Lung Association.
