ames William Angel, 81, of Friends Homes West in Greensboro, died Thursday, March 6, 2003.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Chapel, Greensboro, with Dr. Stephen Pressley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park at later date.

James graduated from High Point University. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Greensboro, the Telephone Pioneers Club and the Good Samaritan Camping Club. He was a retired price analyst for AT&T. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving in WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Angel; son, David Angel and wife Cheryl of Summerfield; two sisters, Peggy Ingram and husband Vernon, Betty Sain and husband John all of Winston-Salem, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Heritage and Hope Fund, 1000 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401 or Friends Homes West Assistance Fund, 6100 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27410.
