Ronnie Wayne Brett, 50, of Candace Court, Princeton, departed this life early Tuesday night, August 13, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

Born May 29, 1963, at Richmond, Virginia, he was the son of the late Richard Curtis Brett and Pearlie Lynch Brett.

Ronnie was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1981. When Bluefield Beverage Plant opened, he started work with the Kroger Company and remained a faithful employee until its closing with 29 years of service. He was currently employed as a Supervisor with the Celanese Corporation at Narrows Virginia.

Ronnie was a man with a huge heart, always putting his family, friends, co-workers and people he did not even know first, before himself. He was devoted to his family and especially his grandchildren. He followed NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. Ronnie loved to coon hunt along with is coon hunting dog, “BO”. He enjoyed the outdoors, raising cows and all types of animals and hunting. Ronnie was always upbeat, always seeing that the glass was half full. More importantly, he loved His Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his loving and caring wife of 26 years, Sandra Dwen Whitt Brett, along with his 3 children whom he dearly loved, Crystal Michelle Combs and husband Will, Tiffany Dwen Smeltzer and husband Aaron, Derek Anthony Buzzo.
