Larry Wayne Dryden was born February 25, 1935 in Scobey, Montana. He was the youngest of eleven children of Alden Delno and Martha Neal (Minor) Dryden.
Larry's family moved to Oregon when he was a young boy in the 1940's. He attended Albany Union High School and Oregon Technical Institute, where he was a championship wrestler.
Larry started his working career as a journeyman carpenter working on Western Kraft Paper Mill. He was employed by the mill when it opened and retired from the mill 41 years later. He had two young daughters (Cindy and Claudia) and married Melva Johnson, with two young daughters (Linda and Judy) on March 19, 1961. Together they had a son Jeffrey. Larry and Melva spent many fun times raising their family, camping in the mountains and coasts of Oregon. They raised their family of five, divorcing in 1997.
Larry married Mary Faye Winters in 1998. They enjoyed going to the casinos, traveling and went on several cruises. They were married for 10 years before Mary's passing in 2008.
Larry was a member of the Albany Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 2255. He loved sports, especially the Oregon State football and basketball games and Portland Trailblazers.
Larry is survived by two sisters. His second wife. Five children. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
