Thurman Lee Drake of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was born November 11, 1933 in Sheridan, Arkansas the son of the late Vaughn Eugene and Eunice Mayfield Drake. He was an active member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, was a United States Army Veteran, and had retired from International Paper Company. Thurman was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, and was a member of Willis-Drake Hunting Club, and spent lots of time at Little Fir on Lake Ouachita fishing. Drake died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his home at the age of 80. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Gross Drake.
