Horace "Shorty" Cornett, 95, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Richland Hills Baptist Church. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet. Shorty was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Weinert. Survivors: Daughter, Luanne Womack and husband, Mike; brothers, F.N. Cornett, Carl Cornett, Glenn Cornett and wife, Eleanor; sisters, Midge Hobbs, Nola Howard and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Beau Campbell, Amber Campbell, Heather Lopez and husband, Eric, Michelle Kowalsky and husband, Troy, Michael Womack Jr.; and four great-grandchildren.
