Pearl Beatrice (Burdick) Briggs, 84, of Holmes Road, retired manager of the former Berkshire Rest Home in North Adams, died Friday in Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She retired in 1981.
Born in the town of Florida, she attended schools there and in North Adams. She moved to Hinsdale in 1956.
She was a member of the Hinsdale and Dalton Senior Center, and while living in Florida, she was a member of the Florida Baptist Church.
Her first husband, Franklin E. Perras, died in 1966, and her second husband, Lawrence F. Briggs, died in 1976.
She leaves two sons; three daughters; a stepson; and a stepdaughter.
She also leaves two brothers, George and Arron A. Burdick; a sister, Tressie M. Poirot, all of Florida; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Tuesday morning in First Baptist Church in Cheshire, with burial in Maple Street Cemetery in Hinsdale. Calling hours are this afternoon and evening at Dery-Foley Funeral Home in Dalton.
