SPENCERVILLE-WILFORD HOWARD CANNON Sr, 76, died at 7am Monday at his home. He was a retired painter and an 18-year resident of the Spencerville area.

Mr. Cannon was born Nov 4, 1909 in Bowling Green, KY to Buford and Cordia (Grimes) Cannon. In 1959 in Watseka, Ill, he married the former Juanita Ruth Etheridge, who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Fred of Columbia City, and Bill Jr, at home; two daughters, Gail Smurr of Auburn and Ruth Eddington of Butler; two sisters Lorraine Webb of Anderson Ind and Mildred Pruitt of Bowling Green, KY, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Cannon's funeral will be held Thursday at 1pm at the Newville Church of Christ, where he was a member. Presiding will be the Rev. Harry Farrer, of the Newville church. Friends may call from 7-9 today and 1-5 and 7-9 Wednesday at the Baidinger and Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, or for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Newville Cemetery after the funeral.
