Johnnie Barnes, age 80, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014.

He was born March 13, 1934 in Blum, Texas to John and Jesse (Roper) Barnes.

Johnnie was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge and served in both the United States Air Force and Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ovie (Gilbreth) Barnes; three brothers, Gordon, Oliver and Lawrence; and three sisters, Mary Dean Witworth, Patsy Ann Barnes, and Eunice Fuqua.

Survivors include his brother, Eddie Gene Barnes and his wife, Jeannie; nephews, Chris and Tim Gilbreth; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Otis and Loma Gayle Gilbreth.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street. Graveside Services with Masonic rites will be held 11:00a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the Potosi Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St.
