Marjorie Greene Sedgwick passed away on Oct. 21, 2014, in Ocala, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at Ocala West United Methodist Church on Nov. 22. Interment will be at a later date at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with her husband, Robert.

She was born April 28, 1925, in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from Centerville High School. She married Robert M. Sedgwick on Jan. 31, 1945, in Ardmore, Okla. After his discharge from the Army, they resided in Rock Island for many years. Robert died Nov. 28, 1988.

Marjorie worked for various companies as a secretary and purchasing agent. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, crocheting, quilting, sewing and entertaining friends. She retired to Ocala in 2001.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen R. Sedgwick (Mary), Jacksonville, Fla., and Brent F. Sedgwick, Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Amy Burdette, Aaron Sedgwick and Amanda Barber; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Paul Sedgwick; and brothers, Thomas, Robert and Ladd Greene; and sister, Beverly Rodgers.
