Nathaniel Joseph Smith, 90, who died at his home In the Elbert community at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday. Rev. J. A. Landrith, Church of Christ minister, officiated at the services which were under the direction of the McCracken Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born June 11, 1847 In Russell county, Kentucky. He was maried to Miss Nancy Jennings, and to this union seven children were born, five of whom are surviving.
They are Mrs. Bell Barnett of Burkott; Eli Smith of Midland; Mrs. Cordelia Irvin of Thoreu, NM; Bill Smith of Coleman County and Perry Smith of Padgett.
Mrs. Nancy Smith died in 1888 and was buried in the Coleman county. Mr. Smith married Elizabeth Jane Fields on 17 June 1891 and to this union were born seven children. Four survive: Emmett Henry Smith of Carter, OK; Mrs. Fannie Timmons, Rural Elzie Smith and Miss Georgia Ann Smith. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. N.J.
