His descendants died out following the death of his childless son, Dr. Claude Dalby Kellam (1882-1923).

Residence 1: Bef. 1878, Came to Shiloh, Camden Co., NC, to practice medicine, where he met his first wife Mary Stevens; his sisters Rebecca and Annie later visited him and met their husbands there who were also Stevenses (Annie's husband was Mary's nephew).

Residence 2: 1918, He died in Ahoskie, NC and appears to have been living there at the time. His second wife married a Riddick after his death and lived in Ahoskie the rest of her life. She may have been married to a Satterthite before marrying Dr. Kellam.
