Born Nov. 2, 1933, she was the oldest daughter of the late Joe and Bea Carr Blaylock of Orgas.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chad Lee Sebok; siblings, Rick Blaylock and Charlotte Cantley; son-in-law, Martin Lee Keith; and great-grandchildren, Harley Rae Keith and Chad Lee Hall.
Barbara was a member of the Church of God, Seth. She served many years as president for the Ladies' Ministries. Barbara attended Sherman High School and graduated from Morris Harvey College (now the University of Charleston) with an elementary education degree. She received a master's degree in education from WVU. Barbara taught school in Boone and Kanawha Counties for 50-plus years. She volunteered at CAMC Memorial Division. She loved her family and spending time at her camp in Pocahontas County. Barbara also enjoyed cooking and art work, but above all, she enjoyed quilting.
Barbara will be missed by her son, Larry (Sherry) Sebok; daughters, Terry Keith and Janie (Eddie) Hall; grandchildren, Lara Burnside, Misty (David) Owen, Larry (Lara) Sebok II, Sara Sebok, Marty (Missy) Keith, Bradley (Christina Dawn) Keith, Jamie (Stephanie) Keith, Brian (Shannon) Hall and Garrett (Karen) Hall; and step-grandchildren, Kellie, Dawn, Crystael, Dyan, Dana and Donald. Barbara was also a proud grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren, Madiline, Anna Claire, Carrington, Lucy, Grant, Hudson, Tyler, Marissa, Bryce, Hayden, Cassie, Trent, Hope, AnaBeth, Samantha, Amber and Gavin. Barbara is also survived by her sisters, Glenna (Charlie) Pettit and Brenda (Henry) Johnson, and sister-in-law, Anne Blaylock.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the Church of God, Seth, with the Rev. David Cook and Pastor Jeff Howerton officiating and singers, Rex and Linda Massey. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the church.
