Gottlieb Bigler was born in Canton, Switzerland March 31, 1843 and died September 4, 1913. He came to this country in 1868 and in 1869 was married to Mary Mairs (Maus).
To them 7 children were born. Pricella died at the age of 3 years.
The living children are Mrs. Felix Miller of Fayette Conty; Henry Bigler of Clayton founty, Mrs. Jacob German of Peoria Illinois; Louie of Clayton Co., and Earnest and John Bigler of Allamakee County.
He was a kind and indulgent husband and father and was ever ready and willing to assist a friend or neighbor. He will be missed by the community wherein he had resided for many years.
