Mac was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Roanoke, Tx.
He married Ola Tisdale on April 1, 1944. They were married 63 years until she passed away on Jan. 17, 2007. He was an active member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Emanuel Class for 51 years.
He met Margie Crunk in August, 2007 and they became best friends and constant companions for the remainder of his life. Mac served in the U.S Navy in the Pacific in WWII. He was a natural born salesman with a reputation for honesty and integrity. He retired at the age of 88 from HRS Fasteners. He remained active until he became ill at the age on 89 when he drove himself to the hospital with a ruptured gallbladder. In the 1950's he was a pitcher for the Saginaw Methodist Church Softball team and he led the music in the church for more than 10 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler. In the 1970's he played the fiddle in the Grapevine Opry house band.
Survivors : son Elliott McNeill and wife Vicky of Richardson, daughter Sharon Shepherd and husband Steve of Rockwall, grandsons Chris McNeill and wife Michelle of Bonham, Scott McNeill and wife Lisa of Plano, Justin Shepherd and wife Robbie of San Antonio, Cory Shepherd of San Antonio, great-grandchildren, Caylie, Ashleigh, Landon, Grace, Briana, Hannah, Samuel, Madelyn, Ayden, Sarah Mae, Hayley and Dalton.
