Mary Sellers, daughter of John & Elizabeth (Poole) Sellers, married Edward Bancroft May 26, 1840. They were the parents of John S. Bancroft, Anna P. (Bancroft) Coggeshall and Elizabeth (Bancroft) Parrish. The famous artist, Maxfield Parrish, was the son of their daughter, Elizabeth.
