“Died
DEFRIEZ – Died at Olio, New Mexico, Dec. 3rd, 1900, Ebenezer Godfrey DeFriez, son of E. G. DeFriez and Sarah E. McCullough. Deceased was born in St. George, Utah, Oct. 10th, 1878. Buried at Fruitland, N. M. Dec. 5th, 1900.”
In the San Juan County Index, Aztec, New Mexico, Friday, October 4, 1901, page 1 was the following:
"E. G. DeFriez and family left Monday for their old home in Vernal, Utah, where they will reside in the future."
