Blannie Virginia James, 84, of the 2300 block of N. Wolfsnare Drive, a retired time keeper, died Oct. 7, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. James was born in Bertie County, N.C. She had retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Saul James; a daughter, Jacqueline Whitehurst of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Blanche Bernard of Virginia Beach and Margaret-Anne Kammer of Long Beach, N.Y.; two sons, Henry A. Dennison of Norfolk and Ernest L. Butler of Wheaton, Md.; a sister, Lizzie Pritchard of Roper, N.C.; and 17 grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ralph Stalter. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Road Chapel.
