Mrs. A.W. Blackman, a pioneer resident of Snohomish county, died at her home in Everett Wednesday, November 12. Mrs. Blackman was born in Maine, July 12, 1844. With her family she came to Snohomish in 1889, residing here until 1903, when they moved to Everett. For over 40 years Mrs. Blackman was an active member of the Baptist church, and she was largely instrumental in building the Snohomish Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, Almon W. Blackman, a sister, Mrs. Lucilla Plummer of Everett, a brother Silsby Rowe of Michigan, two daughters, Mrs. W.P. Bell of Everett, and Mrs. W. T. Elwell of Seattle, and eight grandchildren.
