George L. Knoche, 84, died Saturday at his home in Clarence. He was a former Lowden resident.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Clarence, the Rev. Edward J. Bowers in charge. Interment was made in St. Paul's cemetery, Wheatland.
The deceased was born July 9, 1874, at Wheatland, son of John and Elizabeth Knoche, nee Murchum.
On Dec. 22, 1904, he was married to Emma Burmeister, and this marriage was blessed with four children. He was a member of St. John's church at Clarence.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Gilbert, Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs Evelyn Esbaum, Lowden; Mrs Ethel Hein, Davenport; and Mrs Marjorie Hadley, Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, William, Big Rock; two sisters, Mrs Lena Burke, Davenport and Mrs Lizzie O'Neil, Big Rock; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Phillip and Frank Knoche, and one sister, Mrs Charlotte Parker.
