HULL - Edna Alewine Crawford, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtie Alewine. Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Benny Crawford; and brothers, J.B., Willie and Odell Alewine. She was the owner of Edna’s Grocery and a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Survivors include her children, Lindy Cain, Commerce, Beth Kellum, Jefferson, Dale Bowles, Commerce, Shirley Porterfield, Danielsville, and Johnny Wood, Nicholson; sisters, Carol Davis, Athens, Janelle Whitlock, Danielsville; brother, Curtis “Bud” Alewine, Commerce; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 23, at 3 p.m., at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Beth Kellum and Jeff Wells officiating. The family will receive friend from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, at the funeral home.
