Funeral service for Calvin Dale McGregor, age 63, of Decatur, will be Friday, October 24, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Westmeade Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. McGregor, who died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at his residence, was born August 22, 1951, in Alabama, to Rufus Calvin McGregor and Marjorie Josephine Etheridge McGregor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie McGuire McGregor of Decatur; two sons, Chad McGregor (Joyce), and Brad McGregor (Vanessa), both of Decatur; one daughter, Julie Dempsey (Jerred) of Decatur; one brother, Roger McGregor (Donna) of Moulton; six grandchildren, Hunter McGregor, Matthew McGregor, Kelly McGregor, Mason McGregor, Madison McGregor, and Caroline Dempsey, all of Decatur; and two nephews, Rodney McGregor of Decatur, and Jonathan Clark of Trinity.
Pallbearers will be Rodney McGregor, Danny Armstrong, Jonathan Clark, Erskine Aldridge, Steve Brannon, and Kenny Etheridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, P. O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.
