Last Rites Were Held Sept. 18 For Hazel Moore, 64
Graveside services for Mrs. Kenneth (Hazel Grace) Moore, 64, of Bedford, were held at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, September 19, conducted by Carl Cummings. Mrs. Moore died September 16, I978 at Elm Heights Rest Home in Shenandoah.
Hazel G. Wright Moore, daughter of D. [avid] Ben [net] Wright and Florence Bullock Wright, was born at Bedford, Iowa, March 12, 1914.
She lived in Bedford, Iowa, and grew to maturity in Taylor County where she attended public school and graduated from Bedford High School in 1932. Later she graduated from Northwest Missouri State College with a degree in elementary education. She taught school for a number of years in Taylor and Page Counties. Her last school was with the Clarinda Community Schools, retiring from her chosen profession in May 1976.
She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Gravity where she affirmed her faith in Christ when a child.
On November 16,1935, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Moore at Maryville, Missouri and they had lived in the Bedford vicinity all of their married life. To this union one son, Ramon was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Lyle A. Wright, QM 4th Class, December 13, 1944.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth, of the home; son, Ramon, of Maryville, Missouri; sisters: Alice Murphy and Mable Vawter of Shenandoah, Ia., Helen Schoenbauer of Orlando, Fla., and Mildred Nelson of Lenox, Ia.; brothers: Walter B. of San Diego, Calif., Wayne and Cecil of Des Moines, Lee of Dallas, Oregon; mother-in-law, Mrs. Nora Moore of Twin Falls, Idaho, of whom she was very fond; brother-in-law, Arthur, of Bedford, Ia.; and sister-in-law, Clara Belle Nevin, of Kimberly, Idaho; nieces; nephews and a host of friends.
She was a kind and considerate person and loved by all who knew her.
