EDWARD DAVIDSAVER

Edward J. Davidsaver, 92, of Good Samaritan Center died at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 9 in St. Joseph Hospital. He was a retired Northwestern Bell Telephone employee.

He was born in Dubuque Aug. 12, 1885, to Christian and Susan Dausch Davidsaver, lived in Ottumwa most of his life and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Telephone Pioneers of America and Communication Workers of America Local No. 1327. He married Ida Niemann Sept. 18, 1917, at Burlington. She died in 1974.

Survivors: a daughter, Helen Robinson of Cathedral City, Calif.; a son, James of Ottumwa; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Hart celebrating a Mass of the Resurrection. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.

Rosary: 8 p.m. tonight at Jay Funeral Home.
