Lester Rex Andersen passed away at his home on October 15, 2014.

He was born April 27, 1930 to Andrew Lester Andersen and Viola Annie Frandsen in Ogden, Utah.

He married Barbara F. Johnson in 1951. She passed away in 1990. He later remarried Jeanne Smith.

Survived by his wife; children, Kevin Andersen, Kim (Marion) Chesley, Karen (Dave) Cowley, Scott (Marian) Andersen, Brian (Linda) Andersen, and David (Jeana) Andersen; and step-children, Michael (Melissa) Smith and David Smith. His sisters are Marlene Sweat and Joyce Ottley.

Rex was proud of having many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will dearly miss their Granddad.

A viewing will be held at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Draper Eleventh Ward Chapel, 12870 South 1300 East, on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the Holladay Memorial Park.
