Mrs. Jennie Tannehill, widow of the late Judge H. Tannehill, and whose first husband was the late Lieut. Col. Jos. K. Morey, of the Eighteenth Iowa Infantry, died yesterday at the home or her sister, Mrs. R. S. Morris at Siloam Springs, Ark., from consumption, her death having been expected at any time for several days. The remains were started for this city, her former home, last night and will reach Centerville tonight on Rock Island passenger No. 12. They will be taken to the First Presbyterian church where they will repose until tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock when public services will be conducted and Interment will be made at Oakland cemetery.

Mrs. Tannehill was the daughter of the late Robert Sturgeon, of Centerville, and resided in this city the
greater portion of her life. She was married to J. K. Morey who died many years ago and she afterwards married Judge H. Tannehill who died a few years ago during their residence in
Siloam Springs. She had two children both of whom are dead, but two brothers and two sisters survive her.

Deceased was a public spirited woman very much interested in all Christian work being especially active along temperance lines. For several years she served as president of the local Women's Christian Temperance Union. Genuine sorrow among her many old time friends is experienced over her death.
