Mrs. Margaret McCracken died at her home on Military street at 6:30 o'clock Tuesday morning after an illness of several days with LaGrippe. The deceased was sixty-seven years old and was a consistent member of the Baptist church.
She was a sister of Dr. A. C. Halbert; the mother of Dr. Hal McCracken, who resides in the Northwestern part of the state, and Mesdames Bessie Baxter of this city and Mrs. R. F. Weaver of South Mississippi. The funeral services were conducted from the residence at ten o'clock Wednesday morning by Rev. W. A. Hewitt and Rev. W. W. Whifield and her remains laid to rest in Friendship cemetery.
