He was born Sept 26, 1938, in Willowdell, son of Mrs. Louis (Victoria) Pleiman Eilerman of Willowdell, and the late Bernard E. Schulze.
He married the former Jo Ann Wendeln on April 11, 1959, in Minster.
She survives with five children, Jeff, Rick, Deb, Brad and Jill, all at home; five sisters, Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Knapke of New Bremen, Mrs. Norb (Vera) Schlater of Versailles, Mrs. Ralph (Elsie) Winner of Osgood, Mrs. Gene (Kate) Bergman of Maria Stein, and Mrs. Bill (Virginia) Miller of Atlanta, Ga.; and his mother.
Mr. Schulze was employed at Baumfolder Corp. in Sidney. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood, the Men's Society of the church, a first lieutenant in the Osgood Fire Department, the Eagles Lodge of Minster, and the Goat Farmers of Yorkshire. He was also a former member of the National Guard.
Services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Paul V. Golembiewski officiating. Burial followed in St. Martins Cemetery, Osgood.
Arrangements were handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
