Charles B. 'Chuck' Botzong
Funeral services for Charles B. "Chuck" Botzong, 66, of Longview will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Rader funeral Home Chapel of Longview with the Reverend Russell Craft officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery near Minden. He died Sunday in a local hospital.
Mr. Botzong was born July 27, 1930 in Minden and had been a resident of Longview since 1992, moving from California. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a machinist, having served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles David Botzong. He is survived by wife, Mae Botzong of Longview, children, Andy Botzong of Minden, Kevin Collins of Longview, John Collins of California, Kathy Collins of California, Linda Hackstedde of California, mother, Ruby Edwards of Minden, sister, Irene Edwards of San Jose, California and numerous grandchildren.
